This project was commissioned by TarraWarra Museum of Art and features the Wurundjeri women’s dance group Djirri Djirri.

Djirri Djirri means Willy Wagtail in Woiwurrung, and is the spirit bird who gave the Wurundjeri dance.

Our goal was to showcase the essence of the Djirri Djirri dancers' movements and the passing down of their culture to the next generation.  

The resulting video is a tribute to the cultural heritage and storytelling of the Wurundjeri women's dance group.
