The Torch

Reducing the rate of reoffending by encouraging the exploration of identity and culture through art.

Client: The Torch

10 x artist profiles

The Torch is an organisation providing art and cultural support to First Nations people currently in, or recently released, from Victorian prisons. Their aim is to reduce the rate of reoffending by encouraging the exploration of identity and culture through art.

We produced a collection of 10 artist profile videos diving into the personal journeys and artistic practices of program participants.

Through intimate interviews, where artist’s showcased their work, we highlighted the transformative power of art as a tool for rehabilitation, healing, and cultural expression among Indigenous individuals in the justice system.

We aim to inspire audiences, encourage understanding, and advocate for the importance of Indigenous-led initiatives in the arts and criminal justice sectors.
